Description
A plan view of a joist floor frame, drawn as a rectangular bay with rim members closing all four sides and parallel joists arrayed between them. Each joist is held on its own centreline reference plane and the array is locked with EQ constraints, so the spacing stays even as the frame is stretched. The parameters that drive it are dimensioned on the view itself: an overall length and depth, a member thickness, and the joist centres, shown here at 16 feet by 11 feet with members 1 1/2 inches thick at 1 foot 4 inch centres.
