Description
A horizontal reference line carries an open triangular arrowhead, with weld size text placed above and below the line — 5/16 on each side as drawn — and a TYP. note at both ends. Small imperial dimensions underneath record the origin offset, so the symbol lands consistently each time it is placed.
For structural steel connection and shop details where a weld is called up both sides without a length, and the same call-up repeats down a sheet.
